Quick report

We skied north-facing slopes above and adjacent to Snow Lake. Travel coming up the valley on the winter trail was surprisingly decent. Below ~4000’, we observed a soft melt-freeze near the surface and another a few inches beneath. The new snow started falling around 10am. We observed active wind loading on the ridge crest at Snow Lake Divide. By early afternoon, light, low-density snowfall was moderate to heavy. On our exit, there were ~4” of new snow covering the skin track on the Apron. The exit below Source Lake was difficult with open creeks.
