isolated

Toured to the burn on Dirtyface East under obscured skies with S1 snowfall intermittently throughout the day. Moderate S/SE winds were transporting approximately 10cm of storm snow onto W/NW aspects, isolated reactivity to to ski cuts on small test slopes at ridgelines. Skied moderately angled slopes on E aspect between 5.4k and 4.2k with minimal wind effect present, no significant cross loading noted. Did not experience cracking/collapsing of surface snow. Pit at 5250' on E aspect: HN10cm HS185cm Solstice crust ↓96cm The upper pack demonstrated progressive density from F (in new snow) to 1F(+) just above Solstice crust. A layer (approximately 1cm thick) of small grained facets was noted just above the Solstice crust. CT12 SC and ECT24 SC on this faceted layer. Otherwise had a CTE result down 35cm at a presumed new/old interface, ECTX evaluating this layer in ECT.
