Started my tour at 11am from the snowbowl parking lot. Sunny and clear skies. Temperature was just below freezing. Light winds out of the west. Lower paradise has bulletproof ice at this point making for difficult skinning conditions. Would recommend ski crampons. Still some cold powder snow to ride on NE aspects off of point six. Wet slides found all over solar aspects. All the signs are pointing towards a vicious weak layer developing as the snowpack gets loaded with new snow from the incoming storm this weekend. I would be highly suspicious of large wind slabs on north and east aspects next week with the forecasted 40-50mph west wind.
