Quick report

Noticed a fairly large wet loose avalanche on the SE face of Slide Mountain while driving up US395. Likely slid sometime this afternoon as I did not see the avalanche while driving through the area yesterday. Start zone elevation approximately 8,500'. Assumed trigger was solar induced warming of the new snow since 02/04 but portions of the bed surface look as though they may have been scoured to the ground.
