Quick report

We toured Trimmer Peak today. The snow was a tad sparse at the trailhead, but improved significantly as we climbed. Other than a good wind crust in the top of the Eleven’s, we didn’t see, feel or hear anything concerning, other than lots of snow sharks. We dug a hand pit at 8700’ on a North northwest facing slope in the trees total snow depth 55 cm. From the top down 22 cm fairly light recrystallized snow, fist to four finger hardness then a crust one finger hardness 40 above the ground.
