Dug a pit off the north side of the peak on a 30 degree slope angle. Pit was dug to 110 cm. Snow pack probed to 220 cm, Column test had no failures. A weak layer was evident 40 cm below the surface, 70 cm below the surface was a solid crust layer but did not fail on compression test. We skied off the south side off a steep slope, I did a slope test by means of jumping on my downhill ski and had no release.
Dug a test pit just of the peak on the north slope on a 30 degree pitch. Pit was dug to about 110 cm. Snow pack probed to 220cm. Column test was done with no failures. There was a weak layer 40cm below surface then a crust layer 70 cm below the surface. Additional note, skied off the south face off a steep slope. Slope tested by jumping on the down sloping ski, no release occurred.
