Quick report

Cracking
isolated

Wind slab formation appears to small and isolated in the terrain where we traveled, but still somewhat sensitive underfoot on a few terrain features, evidenced by cracking.  Drifted features were easy to identify: stiff, dense slabs in contrast to sun crusts covered by a few cm's of faceted, low density snow elsewhere.  Slabs were only 6" thick or so, but hard enough to be problematic in consequential terrain. They formed over small-grained facets above the most recent sun crust.  We avoided the most heavily drifted terrain feature where slabs might have been thicker.

Triggered a couple of cracks shooting up to 6' to 10' on easily identifiable drifted features holding dense wind slabs about 3" to 6" thick.
