- <p>Noted cross-loaded wind lips on gullies, small double cornicing on low/mid elevations ridglines, and significant cornices at upper elevations ridgelines. The cornices on Chilly Peak were overhanging onto the NE side of the peak and appeared to be about 1-2m tall. There were a few small but relatively long-running (ca. 100ft) loose avalanches at the rocks and steep terrain in the Cobble Creek drainage. There also appeared to be a small wind pocket that looked to have released during the recent storm at the base of Zero G couloir. </p>
Snowpack
At low elevations found new crusts on solar aspects. There was 3-5cm of soft surface snow, with the glimmer of both preserved stellars and a bit of small grain surface hoar mixed in. Below this was a thin, breakable crust of about 1-2 cm. 10-15cm down was a more supportable crust of about 5cm thickness. Did not note any facet formation at the crusts. Exposed locations were wind affected with wind skin/thin crust. Polar aspects were still soft.
