There were signs of instability at the steep pitch at the top of Chute, where my partner triggered a wind slab release with a crown depth ~4in and 30-40ft across. The skier stayed on his feet and skied the rest of the path. The rest of our party was in a safe spot below and watched debris go past. This was minutes before I was caught and carried in a second small slide.

I skied out of the chute and stopped just below the buttress on the skiers left to watch my partners. They skied past to the floor of the ravine. I then skied further skier’s left to another rock aspect where I kicked off a wind slab about 10 ft across and 2-3ft deep. I was carried about 500 feet to the floor of the ravine where I came to rest unburied and uninjured.
