Quick report
Immersed in “miracle march” the presidential range has seen 21.6 inches of snow fall over the past 5 days, accompanied by very productive W/SW winds loading the eastern slopes of the forecast zone. Along with this snowfall and wind comes a significant natural avalanche cycle of the likes we have not seen yet this season or in some cases many years. These avalanches are impressive in size and destructive ability. Snow and wind continues through the coming days and into the weekend, March is no time to let our guard down as the snow pack builds and melds into an every changing snowscape. I am impressed yet humbled by the sizes of the avalanches this cycles has produced.
