Quick report
Short ski tour up a north aspect within the Leavitt Lake valley. Immediate sky was clear but Leavitt bowl was incased in low cloud that made its way East with light snow fall as the afternoon unfolded. Yesterday's snow laid a blanket of cold smoke from the creek within the treeline all the way to my highpoint. Snow coning was visible throughout in the treeline giving some early confidence. As the ascent continued into near/above treeline, the weekends wind slab became obvious under foot but last night's (07 Feb) snowfall must have fallen with zero wind as exposed aspects had a nice blanket. Pit dug at 9450ft, see photos for info.
