Quick report
Looking to add some definition to our tour we headed for the rocks amidst the Rae Wallace boot pack. We found firm settled snow, old crowns, debris, and ski tracks all with a skiff of recent snow and surface faceting to help keep things edgable and somewhat soft. We timed our descent perfectly to coincide with the flattest light of the day, and enjoyed some good clearing and visibility once back to the IM lot. Bless. Winds were observed to be blowing a little snow around at higher elevations on Rae Wallace and towards the front of the range, but below ridgeline they remained light.

Mostly overcast for our ascent and descent, with a longer break in the clouds upon our return. Winds were light and temps warm for most of the hike, but on the ridge moderate winds and colder temps were apparent.
Snowpack
Today we observed some light wind effect at upper elevations towards the front of the range and encountered variable firm surfaces with a skiff of new snow and surface faceting.
