Quick report
In search of coverage, relevant observations, or really any snow available to slide on without gouging out the core of our skis. We put on the skinny twigs and glided our way to just under the Monolith. As you would expect with our cold and dry purgatory of an early season, we found only a couple of inches of light, dry, and weak snow on top of the road. As far as road turns go, it was fun loud pow wiggles as long as you avoided the many rocks thinly covered by the weak snow.

Beautiful day! No wind and the inversion graced us with some warm temps above the valley. Out of the direct sun temps felt quite a bit colder.
