Quick report
Went to Leavitt to bury a manikin for an avalanche rescue practice. Temps were above freezing with a light wind from what felt like the SW but I’m not sure. Sky was about 1/2 occluded. We dug a pit on a north aspect below a steep roll over, no instability found. We were still able to find cool soft snow on N sheltered terrain in the trees. All flats, E, S, and W aspects had zipper crusts.
