We accessed from canyon creek which produced rain in the morning on the ride in which switched to snow around 5000 feet. New snow from 1/29-30 settled on a crust produced sluffing on eastern aspects that we skied. Conditions stayed stable in sheltered terrain until midday warm up we observed shooting cracks yet no major instability.
