Quick report
Winter is back in Cooke City (at least for today).
Over the last 4 days, about 1.5 feet of new snow fell in Cooke City. While we were riding it was constantly snowing (S-1). The visibility was limited.
Winds were blowing moderately transporting snow.
In the areas we've observed, the new snow is bonding well to the old snow. Our Extended Coulumn Tests showed no propagation, but cracks were initiated within the new snow (ECTN14, ECTN16).
We saw cornices forming, and wind loading.
In lower elevations, the snow was heavier containing more moisture.
