Quick report

Snow was still falling heavily at 8am with about a foot of accumulation in the service shed parking lot. Above 8500’ snow totals appear to be much deeper, pushing 18-20”. This new snow is quite dense and appeared slightly upside down with lower density snow in the first 10-12” topped with 4-6” heavier snow. Winds were overall calm and no signs of instability were observed, even when cutting across test slopes ~33-35deg. Snowfall had stalled by midday and breaks in cloud cover allowed the sun to quickly begin to affect the snow surface. By early afternoon snowfall appeared to begin again.
