We got a good look at the Wellsvilles this morning an noticed a fair amount of avalanche activity. Many canyons had cornice fall avalanches at the head (see Pic one in Old Logway canyon). Some appeared to be several hundred feet wide and ran 1000 to 1500 vertical. Mid elevation ssabs were observed in several canyons. They looked to be around a foot deep and 50 to 100 feet wide runnign 300 to 600 vertical (see pictures 2 and 3). And at the lower elevations many rollerballs and runnels were observed (pic 4). The snow coverage looks amazing, looking forward to some springtime ascents.
