Red Flags
Poor Snowpack Structure

Another scorcher of a December day out there, with a full crew of Pro 1 students and some recreationalists out in the Cardiff Pass area. Snowpack observations from 9645 ft on a 75° aspect showed propagation along the 13 Dec PWL. (CT16 SP down 25 cm, ECPT14 down 25 cm) It looks like it still remains possible for a skier to trigger an avalanche with this strong over weak combination. I assure you that the ski down from Cardiff Pass to get up here is less than worth it if you're hunting for good turns!
