Went up days fork with no intention of skiing just to see how the snowpack was reacting. Experienced lots of collapsing, whomping, and shooting cracks every where we stepped. Dug many hand pits the new snow is resting on a very small fragile layer of facets. Never stepped on anything step enough to slide however we saw countless small slides off the drainage that all looked to be on slopes steeper then 30degrees and naturally occurring. Very reactive and spooky out there.
