Quick report

We skied off the north side of Moose Peak on a slope we've been waiting a couple years for stable conditions on. The very top needs a bit more coverage but the rest of the run was amazing skiing. Best pow of the week with no crust evident anywhere. Seems like more north is more better for crust avoidance? Dug a pit at 7000' with HS 170cm. Interestingly, the thick rain crust that's usually down ~75cm and that we have found in every other location the past few weeks in the Swans and southern WF, was nowhere to be found on Moose. In fact I couldn't find any obvious layers in the top 100cm. No signs of avalanches or instability. HS 145cm at 6000' Wind and precip was picking up over the course of the day, but no wind slabs forming yet. A couple inches on the bikes at the end of our ski.
