West aspect of Mt Cannon at the Redrock slide path. Observed the debris field of a natural avalanche from within the past 24 hours. No one caught, no evidence of people in this area since last Monday. Debris field is about 75 feet wide, 20-30 feet deep. Completely blocking GTSR and partially across McDonald Creek. We were in the Avalanche area of Glacier NP around midday and could hear avalanches about every 10 minutes and observed natural avalanches in steep terrain (couloirs, waterfalls) at mid to low elevation on west and south aspects of Mt Cannon.
