Quick report
On the ride in it was hard pack ice with 2+" of fresh snow until about 2.5 miles south of Upper Whitefish Lake, then better riding! Parked sleds near Red Meadow Lake and skinned up to ~6500' towards the eastern ridge of Red Benchmark Mtn.
- Some snow transporting at ridglines through the afternoon.
- HS = 130cm @ 6400', 95cm @ 5500'
- Pit dug on NE and 18° Slope at 6440'. Snowpit showed that the snowpack gets harder with depth and melt/freeze crust was 46cm down.
- Compression Test Results: CTM 15 (RP) down 25. Continued test and no results from the crust interface or elsewhere.
