Dug pit 1.5m. W Aspect, 2800’, 30deg slope. 15cm fist hard facets at surface. 35cm finger hard below that. 0.5cm ice crust below that. 1cm facets below that. Pencil hard below that, to bottom of pit. HS 230cm. Attempted ECT. Column slid out while making back/side cuts. Failed easily on 1cm facet later beneath ice crust down 50 cm.
