Forget chains - bring a snorkel!

Broke trail through very deep snow from Helen Mackenzie to Elma. Ski penetration ~45cm Boot penetration to the hip! No signs of avalanche activity and no sluffing on the steeper slopes we skied (didn’t ski anything above 40degrees)

Flurries on and off throughout the day amounting to 2cm. Freezing mist also at times but it didn’t seem to impact the snowpack in any noticeable way.
