1835m, N aspect, 17 degree slope angle, HS 210cm, overcast and snowing, light breeze with gusts up to 25-40 km/h from the south, air temp -4c, snow temp -7 CTE3(RP)down 5cm(wind slab) CTE8(RP) down 25cm CTM17(RP) down 52cm CTH22(BRK) down 120cm(crust) Didn’t have time to inspect what the test results slid on a combination of wind slabs, surface hoar, crusts I would assume. Ridge tops had wind slabs developing,upper 50cm portion of snowpack was low density snow(fist-4F). A thick crust about 120cm down in the snowpack. Rode dense trees, set off a size .5 in a steep/open portion of the trees about 25cm deep.
