As expected, crusty snow conditions all the way up into the alpine, which hardened during the afternoon and providing some ok dust on crust conditions. Snow became dry at around 2300m, providing some decent skiing at the top section of Video Peak. Some new snow during the day formed a thin layer of poorly binding graupels on top of the old snowpack, leading to a lot of sluff on the steeper part of the descent. Lots of evidence of avalanches on all southern and easterly aspects, both on the approach and up in the bowl. Interestingly, the top section of Video Peak has stayed intact so worth staying cautious on these slopes, especially if it heats up again.
