<p>Adventures365 AST 2 field day today in Kananaskis Country up Commonwealth Creek. </p> <p>It was a blustery, wintry feeling kind of day but with mild temperatures of -7. With the avalanche hazard climbing, we stuck to terrain below treeline. Visibility up high was limited and there was 5-10 cm of new snow plus the previous snowfall and facets being blown around by moderate-strong winds. Definitely a good day to not be high where one would be wandering around in low visibility amongst building wind slabs on facets!</p> <p>The snowpack is low for this time of year, and the low density snow barely keeps your skis above hidden hazards.</p>
