Long Range Mountains

Good sledding from tree line to alpine. Dug a pit on an east facing slope at 490 m and found 135 cm new snow sitting on top of the melt-freeze crust that formed on Feb 12. We had hard results on our compression tests and no propagation on extended column tests. Warm weather in the forecast may increase the slab problem over the next few days.
