Headed up to Cypress with the dog, rock skis and low expectations. Limited 5-6cm or wet, rapidly melting snow at base. Slowly increase with elevation. 12cm at 1220m increasing to 25cm at 1445m with moist but decent quality snow. Snow was supportive enough to ski low angle along the t-33 road. Anything steeper than 15-20 degrees would have meant a free base grind. Wouldn't quite call it early season conditions as much as pre-season conditions. Not quite skiable at this point but at least it feels like winter. Hopefully we can continue to build the base into the winter.
Foggy day, limited visibility. Very light winds from the SW. Temps were steady throughout day.
