Big Y has filled in nicely since the last wind event. Around tree line on approach into this valley we found 280cm snow probed in sheltered areas with 35 cm storm snow sitting on more settled stiffer snow with supportive crust with facets below. It was -10 in the alpine at noon, light flurries, cloud was in and out with decreasing vis in the afternoon. No recent naturals observed in this zone. Visibility and a conservative approach with our young crew on our family outing kept us to low angle planar slopes. Fun riding for sledders and skiiers of all ages today.
