Poor Snowpack Structure
Elevation
3078 m
Slope Angle
32°

Traveled from 7400 ft.-10,300 ft, north half of the compass. Damp snow below about 9K. Shallow surface sluffs on 40°+ pitches. Pit tests reflected a medium to hard effort to fail and a propensity for propagation with an average shear quality, nonetheless, I observed a mostly stable and supportable snowpack today. Low to moderate danger tomorrow depending on snow totals and wind.

Snowpack

About an inch of snow from Wednesday's "storm". Soft snow on north facing slopes. Variable crust on all other aspects.
