Overall thinking moderate hazard on mid elevation slopes due to the possibility of triggering a slide in some places (sheltered northerly slope. Thinking considerable remains on upper elevation wind loaded slopes, particularly north half of the compass that got heavily loaded with the last storm.

- <p>We were at and below 9,500' today and mostly out of wind loaded areas. New snow instabilities had settled out and we were mostly interested in whether any of the buried weak layers (primarily the snow that was on the surface last week) were active. Overall found in this location that the old snow is not overly weak. We could not get propagation in one pit at around 9,400', but could get stubborn propagation in a pit around 9,150' that was on a steeper more sheltered slope. Thinking that in most places persistent slabs breaking on last week's snow are unlikely, but steep, sheltered, lower to lower-mid elevation slopes should still be treated with caution until proven innocent.</p>
