Quick Observation
Today we travelled mostly on south facing slopes at treeline and below treeline. 15-30 cm of low density storm snow sits on facets and a sun crust in this area. This storm snow was well bonded to the snowpack. While we travelled around 40km, on our sleds and ski touring we observed No new avalanches, no cracking, no whumpfing. Things are really calm out in the northern monashees.
Weather
Skies were overcast all day with some light precipitation (S-1) in the afternoon. Winds were moderate to strong from the SE. Temperatures remained between -3 and -1 between 1750m and 2200m
