Avalanche Information
We triggered a few tiny, harmless sluffs on a steep 40+ degree slope with a below-average snowpack height due to past avalanche activity.
Weather
cloud cover: few; wind loading: previous; recent snowfall (cm): 0; snow avail for transport: moderate amounts
Snowpack
A little cohesion in the upper snowpack was keeping sluffs from being much of a problem. In wind-sheltered areas, we found a soft snowpack without a slab avalanche problem. The ridgeline in this area didn't see effective wind loading during last weekend's wind event. A few of the more open areas did some loading right near the ridgeline, like the top of Yogies, for example. Otherwise, lower riding quality and thicker wind-affected snow were more common near the ridgeline. . We had a couple of collapses along a low-angled rideline that was tilted east.
