Top notch April storm skiing. Found shelter from the strong wind with amazing skiing albeit some storm slab (10-15cm) and loose dry that was easily controlled with ski cuts.
Performed multiple ski cuts at top of runs and at convex features producing small loose dry sloughs and some storm slabs up to 15cm thickness and 4m in width. Maximum run length of slab 3m breaking down into loose dry moving up to 25m.
Wind was light due to choosing sheltered terrain. Observed and could hear strong winds ripping through the Commonwealth drainage south of the ridge.
