Day was sunny in the morning with flurries beginning in the afternoon and developing into S-3 by 2.30pm. Soft, deep snow has been preserved in sheltered areas but is variable and wind affected in exposed terrain. Saw multiple point release and natural wind slab avalanches size 1 to 1.5 on South and East aspects.
Pit at 1800m, on a west facing wind loaded micro feature.
HS was 155cm but was 175cm at pit location. Slope angle was 40° and temp -15.
Pit showed no results (CTX). Density change evident approx 60cm down, noncohesive sugary snow.
