Interesting day in the McGregors. -7° at the car but +2° at and above 1200m. Skiing was pretty bad with a decent crust and melting snow. Turned to pow below 1000m. No signs of instability today, but did come across an avi on North exposure. Size 1-2ish. Appears to have been triggered by yesterday's snow sluffing off cliffs. Mostly only ran in the fresh 5-10 cm of snow that fell within the last few days. Scoured a bit of the snow beneath but didn't trigger a step down. Despite the temperatures spike the snowpack seemed pretty stable.
