The avalanche crown was over 2-3 feet deep in places. The larger of the two avalanches was 900 feet across and ran almost 3000 feet, dumping about 20 feet of debris in the gully at the valley floor. It appears the avalanche was triggered from a 28-31 degree slope, but the start zone averaged 35 degrees. The crown line of the first avalanche wraps northeast through north aspects, and the second is primarily north and northwest.
