Quick Observation

-20 and sunny with Moderate westerly (gusting strong) winds blowing around recent storm snow creating windslabs in lee features. Snow transport was intense at ridge top. Ski pen was 10 cm all the way up, through windslab, wind press and scoured surfaces Alpine and Treeline. Observed a lack of slab property in the storm snow in sheltered terrain. HS on the glacier 250-300cm. 50 cm on the steep slopes below the summit. Noted 2 avalanches from the recent storm, both on East slopes in extreme terrain. Suspect natural cornice triggered windslab Up to sz 2. One appears to have stepped down to deeper layers. See photo.
