Quick Observation

Skied left side fingers all the way from the top. Saw some very recent wind effect. Lots of tree branches and cedar frawns at the edges of the woods on the surface of the snow. Soft top layer from 30cm new snow. Crust below the new snow was fairly firm at 1000m and became significantly less defined as we went up to 1450m. No discernable hoar or icy crust seen at the pit we dug at the top. Everything beyond soft surface was very well bonded and consistent. No planar breaks during tap test. Crumbled through new snow by M6, no breaks through H10 below that. We confidently rode 40 degree slopes with zero issues. Skied over some avalanche debris most likely from earlier this week. Debris was soft and didn't take away from some of the softest chill turns I've had all year.
