Matier
South Coast Inland
Rick Roll , Sunday 1st May, 2022 11:00PM
Powder on high north facing slopes made good skiing. We found a 20-30cm wind slab on the north side of Matier in hand shear tests but non-planar. Lots of loose-wet activity on Anniversary glacier (NE facing), both natural and skier triggered.
Snow conditions were: Powder, Wet. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Sunny, Warm. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes, Steep slopes. We avoided: Sunny slopes. Riding quality was good.
Avalache Conditions: Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
