Quick report

Old buried snow is present on east aspects at ground level, starting at least at 8000'. Winds were variable and shifting between WNW and WSW for this zone. Skiing was fantastic, though by the afternoon snow at the valley trail felt heavy and wet.

Snowpack

About 12"-16" inches were on the valley trail and the snow height increased to almost a meter at 7500'. Skied very cautiously, but the density of the snow helped coverage. Surface graupel was observed throughout upper elevations. No signs of instability were observed, though the snowpack showed evidence of wind loading across the slope. At 8000', height of snow 75cm, CT22@ 8cms. The snowpack was mostly cohesive with the bottom 8cm a facet layer. At9200', height of snow 87cm, ECTN 12@69 cm, where there was a density break. Bottom 15cm were facets.
