On second lap noticed debris covering the traverse below the Tongue, that was not present first lap. 3-4 foot crown was observed in the mid and upper reaches of the Tongue in a wind loaded area. Small trees 6 to 10 inches in diameter were in the debris pile. Transceiver search reviled no signal, no other signs of gear or tracks were visible. Strong winds blowing down canyon were forming wind slabs that were easily triggered on approach along the traverse.
