Quick report

Soft surface snow indicated a light, superficial refreeze last night, but it remained supportable throughout our tour. We skied fairly steep NE terrain with ideal penetration. It wasn't until hitting lower angle and lower elevation slopes that surface snow became soft and sticky, but even then it was limited to the top few inches.

Dark clouds threatened thunderstorms but we left before hearing anything. By mid-afternoon a few snowflakes fell and winds increased.
