Quick report
It's kind of crusty out there. Stopped on a steeper north facing pitch (35 degree +/-) at roughly 2500 ft. and dug a hasty pit. Top 10 cm of snow has a weak crust on top and is bonding above a melt freeze crust. The lower curst is supportive and the top crust is not. The newly forming slab failed while isolating the column. The rest of the column did not react (1 meter pit - 260cm total snow depth). Ski conditions were poor due to the breakable curst on top.
