Dense-wet snow blanketed a mostly uniform snowpack the wind loaded area. Significant transport was occurring loading W aspects.
Snowpack
We dug a pit on an ENE aspect at 7300'. We chose a wind slab for the depth of snow and to better understand the conditions at higher elevations with wind loading. Conditions are still very variable with early season conditions being present nearly every aspect except for wind loaded zones. Our pit was actively being filled in by wind transport as our tests were being conducted.
