Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

We hiked into the bowl and made the decision to hike up through some of the shrubs to the left to avoid the narrow snow connection (See pic 1.) between the lower parts of Sluice and Lip as the snow looked pretty unstable. (This proved the right move as a small group skied over it later in the day and part of it collapsed). We took several runs from the bottom of the remainder of Chute and then I took two runs of Left Gully. The connection from the gully to the bowl was getting thin but was still skiable with some side-slipping. (I expect a small section of it to be melted out quite soon) The middle section of the gully was in great shape, and the snow went up to a bit above the top pinch point.
