Shooting cracks were common throughout our tour with most shooting ~0.5 - 1 meter and ~1 foot deep; however, we encountered larger shooting cracks (up to 3 meters) on several occasions. Using wind-loaded test slopes, we could get small pockets to fail with the weight of a skier, but the energy was often low and the slab would only collapse and move a foot or two. In addition, on an east aspect, we had a small rollover fail on a ski cut producing a very small storm slab avalanche with a ~15" crown and was ~15ft wide.

Winds were ~20 mph (higher on upper elevation ridges) with primarily west and south winds throughout the day.

We dug several pits, all had poor structure, low-moderate energy, and limited propagation propensity.
