Quick report
3 touring groups on day 2 of a rec level 1 avalanche course went out to dig pits. One group on Cross hill and two groups on lower Microdot. We did not have any propagation in any pits but did observe poor structure in a layer of facets near the ground. Our most interesting pit came from 3700' at microdot, snow depth was 135cm and the facet layer at the base was 35cms.
